Top rare Fallschirmjäger Instructional book written by Major der Fallschirmtruppe Herbert Graßy, one of the early paratrooper pioniers. Not many examples of this book are still out there.
Herbert Graßywas promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on April 1, 1939, and two months later, he was appointed as the commander of the 1st Battalion of the 1st Parachute Regiment. He died during an parachuting accident on the 18th of January 1940. Gratzy had been experimenting with delayed parachute opening, due to a miscalculation and erroneous flight instruments, he deployed his parachute too late and was killed immediately.
