Sauckel worked directly under Hermann Göring within the Four Year Plan Office, obtaining and allocating labour for German industry and agricultur.
Sauckel was responsible for providing forced laborers for the German War Industry. He was found guilty on counts three and four (war crimes and crimes against humanity) at the International Military Tribunal in Nürnberg. He was sentenced to death. Sauckel was hanged on October 16, 1946.
