Soldbuch to Gefreiter Willy Zacher. He was born on the 19th of July 1904 in Bürghausen.

He was promoted to Oberschütze on the first of May 1942 while serving with the Landesschützen Bataillon 622 and finally to Gefreiter on the first of October 1943.
Till 1943 he served in Landesschützen Bataillon 622 performing POW-guard duties in Military District IX. 1943 he was transferred to the Kraftfahr Kompanie 81 and later to the Div. Nachschub Tr. 81, both transport and supply units of the 1. Panzer-Division. Finally he served in Panzer-Grenadier- Regiment 1.
Till October 1943 he was in Greece. From November 1943 till May 1945 the unit operated in Russia (e.g. Shitomir, Winniza, Brody,...), the Carpathian Mountains, Hungary and finally the Eastern Alps. April 1944 he was wounded and in December 1944 again
He was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz on the 6th of May 1944.
