Soldbuch+paperwork to Gefreiter Gerhard Otto who was born on the 25th of November 1919 in Magdeburg.
His soldbuch was opened on the 22nd of September 1939 with the 3./ l. Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung I/31.
On the first of July 1942 he was promoted to Oberkanonier. He saw his last promotion on the first of July 1943 to Gefreiter.
After training with the 3./ l. Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung I/31., he saw action with the 8.Batterie of Artillerie-Regiment 96, part of 96th Infanterie-Division, at the Eastern Front. (Leningrad- Newa-Wolchow). After spending some time in the Lazarett he was transferred to the Panzerjäger-Ersatz und Ausbildungs-Abteilung 13. In the back of the Soldbuch one can see the Ausbildungsnachweis on which it was stated that he was trained with the Pak7,5, Maschinegewehr 34 u. 42, Pistole 38, Panzer Nahkampfmittel and MP44!
With the 3./ schweres Heeres-Panzerjäger Abteilung 682 (deployed November 1944 in the Eifel), he saw action in the Battle of the Bulge/Ardennen-Offensive as part of the 15. Armee.
