Soldbuch+paperwork to Regierungsbaurat August Meyer who was born on the 14th of October 1901 in Speele. He was a Diplom-Ingenieur (engineer).
 
His soldbuch was opened  on the 31st of August 1939 with the 2./N.A. 216
 
After training and duty with the Nachrichten Abteilung 216, he was active in the Heimat-Kraftfahr-Park Hannover. Then he saw a transfer to the Stab of Werfer Regiment 53, which was reformed on the 11th of March 1943 in Wehrkreis XI.
 
Finally he was transferred to the Stab of Schweres-Werfer-Regiment 14, part of the Volks-Werfer-Brigade 9.  With this regiment he took part in the battle of the Hürtgen Forest (Eifelschlacht), defensive battles in Prüm, Fulda (Thüringer Wald), counterattack in the area of Meißen-Lommatzsch. Finally the regiment went into captivity in Sudetenland.
 
He was awarded the KVK 2. Klasse mit Schwerten on the 20th of April 1944 and the KVK 1. Klasse mit Schwertern on the 6th of May 1945 ! serving in the Volks-Werfer-Brigade 9.
