Soldbuch to Stabsgefreiter Kurt Blume. He was born on the 19th of November 1919 in Lühe, Magdeburg.

 

Early example of a  Soldbuch which was opened on the 23rd of August 1939 with the 1./Fallschirm-Jäger Rgt. 1 with original signature of the famous Hauptmann Walter Koch! who led the attack on the Belgian Albert Kanaal Bridges and the legendary attack on the fortress of Eben-Emael with the Sturmabteilung Koch. For this actions Koch received the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on the 10th of May 1940.

 

Notice the Erkennungsmarke Number on the first page which was typical for members of the Sturmabteilung Koch.

 

He was promoted  to Gefreiter on the 16th of May 1940 while serving with Fallschirmjäger Regiment 1. On the first of November 1941 he was promoted to Obergefreiter. He saw his last promotion on the first of October 1944 to Stabsgefreiter serving with Nachtjagdgeschwader 101.

 

In August 1940 he served with the Transportkompanie of the 7. Flieger Division in which FJR 1 and FJR 2 was attached. In the summer of 1941 he was transfeferred to Fliegerhorstkompanie Fassberg followed by Seefliegerhorstkompanie Wesermünde serving with the Stab.E.GR./Zerstörer-Geschwader 76.

 

In September 1941 Nachtjagdschule 1 was founded where he served with the 6./ Nachtjagdschule 1. The III. gruppe was formed out of the Ergänzungsgruppe of Zerstörer-Geschwader 76 in which he previously served.

 

In  March 1943 he was transferred to the II./ Nachtjagdgeschwader 101 which was formed out of the Nachtjagdschule 1.
