Death card to Johann (Hans) Killermann, Uboot Maschinenobergefreiter. KIA on the 14th  of April 1942 during the famous operation "Paukenschlag". He was decorated with the U-Boat War Badge. 
 
The U-85 was sunk in April 1942 by the USS Roper near Cape Hatteras (North Carolina). It was the first U-Boot that was sunk during Operation "Paukenschlag"
 
As often seen on Uboot death cards the date of the death is incorrectly mentioned on the card.
