Death card to  Johann Plank, Bootsmannsmaat on the U-182. KIA on the 15th of May 1943.
He was decorated with the  U-Boat War Badge and the EK2. 
 
The U-182 was sunk near Madeira on 16 May 1943 by depth charges from the destroyer USS MacKenzie. 61 crew members and three prisoners of war died.
 
As often seen on Uboot death cards the date of the death is incorrectly mentioned on the card.
