Death card to Nikolaus Lang, Maschinen-Gefreiter on the U-136. KIA on the 12th of July 1942 west of Madeira.
He was decorated with the  U-Boat War Badge
 
The U-136 was sunk on the 11th of July 1942 in the North Atlantic ,west of Madeira, by depth charges from the Free French destroyer Léopard, the British frigate HMS Spey and the British sloop HMS Pelican.
 
As often seen on Uboot death cards the date of the death is incorrectly mentioned on the card.
