Death card to Ludwig Schuller, Maschinen-Maat on the U-701 and KIA on the 9th of July 1942 in the North Atlantic. He was decorated with the EK2 and the Memelland Medaille
 
The U-701  was sunk on the 7th of July 1942 in the North Atlantic off Cape Hatteras by depth charges from a US A-29 Hudson aircraft (396th Bomb Sqn USAAF). 
 
As often seen on Uboot death cards the date of the death is incorrectly mentioned on the card.
