Death card to Hermann Tiefenthaler, Maschinenmaat on the U-203. KIA on the 25th of April 1943.
He was decorated with the  U-Boat War Badge, the EK1 and EK2. 
 
On 25 April 1943 while south of Cape Farewell, Greenland the U-203 was sunk by depth charges. She had been attacked by a Fairey Swordfish aircraft operating from the British escort carrier HMS Biter and the British destroyer HMS Pathfinder. Ten men were killed and 38 survived.
