He's also listed as a recipient of the Tank Destruction Badge/Panzervernichtungsabzeichen awarded on the 3rd of December 1944. Finally he was also recommended for the German Cross in Gold (DKIG).
 
He was KIA on the 13th of December 1944 at the Western Front( KIA during the battles at the Hürtgenwald) and buried at the Cemetary of Kreuzau-Obermaubach.
