The U-259 was sunk  on the 15th of  November 1942 in the Mediterranean Sea by depth charges dropped by a British Hudson Light Bomber (No.500 RAF Squadron)
 
As often seen on Uboot death cards the date of the death is incorrectly mentioned on the card.
