the document was issued in Niedersee on the 3rd of Ocotober 1939 and signed by Generalleutnant u. Kommandierender General des XXI. Armee Korps Nikolaus von Falkenhorst (30.04.1940 Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes).
 
Pionier Bataillon 42 saw heavy action during the invasion of Poland 1939; so this document is a top rare and very early example for the clasp to the Iron Cross Second Class!
