Wehrpass to Hauptmann der Reserve Eugen Vogelmann, who was born on the 31st of October 1897 in Stuttgart.

 

He was a veteran of WW1 and served as  Musketier with Infantry Rgt. 125. He saw  action in France and Flanders where he earned the EK2, Silb. Verdienst Medaille and the Frontkämpfer Ehrenkreuz in 1935.

 

During WW2 he mainly served in the Krankenkraftwagenzug 215 as part of the 215. Infantry Division

The impressive battle calendar gives a nice overview of the battles of this Division. (Maginot-Vogesen- Ladogasee-Wolchow-Leningrad- 1945 Kurland etc) see pages 32-33-35-47-48!

 

He was trained with the K98 and Pistole08. In 1943 he was trained for Panzervernichtung and minelaying and searching.

 

He saw a lot of promotions and reached the rank of Hauptmann der Reserve on the first of July 1944. 

 

1939 Gefreiter, 1940 Unteroffizier, 1941 Feldwebel, 1942 Offizier-Anwärter- Leutnant der Reserve-1943 Oberleutnant der Reserve.


He was decorated with the War Merit Cross 2. Class with Swords on  18.10.1940, War Merit Cross 1. Class with Swords on 1.09.1942 , Ostmedaille on 5.8.1942.

Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 2. Klasse on 12.7.1944 and finally a quite late awarded Iron Cross First class on the 29th of March 1945.

 

On the 6th of April 1945 he was transferred to the late war Infantry Division "Theodor Körner" (see page 12 and 48) and participated in the final battles  south of Berlin.

 

The division finally surrendered to US Troops May 1945 at Tangermünde an der Elbe.

 

Nice and very well filled in Wehrpass with an impressive battle calendar and off course a hard to find unit!

 

Condition:  wehrpass is complete, nothing denazified
