Wehrpasss to Feldwebel Reinhard Böckemeier who served in the 2./ Nahaufklärungsgruppe 11. He was born on the 16th of March 1919 in Sundern, Herford.
 
Böckemeier started his active military career in April1939 with the 1. Flieger Ausb. Rgt. 72 stationed in Detmold.
 
He was trained with the K98,.M.G 13, Pistole 08, 2 cm Flak 30 and 38.
 
He followed several additional trainings as:
 
- Geräteverwalter
- Unteroffizierslehrgang from 18.5.1941 till  14.6.1941 which he successfully completed
- Gasschutzlehrgang in Berlin 1941  and another one from 10.10.1944 till 15.10.1944 with the Gasschutzschule Luftflotte 2
 
He was promoted to Gefreiter on the first of April 1940, to Obergefreiter on the first of April 1941 and to Unteroffizier on the first of April 1942. He saw his last promotion to Feldwebel on the first of February 1945.
 
After his training with the the 1./Flieger Ausb. Rgt. 72 from 14.4.1939 till  12.07.1939, he served in the 4./Aufklärungsgruppe 12 from 13.7.1939 till 30.11.1943.
 
With the Aufklärungsgruppe 12 he saw action during the campaign in Belgium( Lüttich, Albert Kanaal, Namur, St.-Amands, Westflandern) and France.
 
With the start of Operation Barbarossa his unit was deployed in Russia (Panzerschlacht Olita, Dünastellung, Wittebsk-Smolensk,..)
 
His unit was moved to the Afrika theatre where he saw action from 11.4.1942 till 20.4.1943 including the famous battles in Tobruk, Festung Marsa Matruk, El-Alamein and Tripoli.
 
From 21.4.1943 till the end of war he was active in Italy ( first Sardinien and Korsika till he was transferred to the 2./Nahaufklärungsgruppe 11, also based in Italy till the end of the war)
 
He was awarded the  Deutsch-Italienische Afrika Feldzugmedaille on the 15th of October 1942, Ärmelband Afrika/Afrika cuff title on the first of May 1943 and the War Merit Cross 2nd class with Swords on the 8th of December 1943.
