Wehrpass to Matrosenobergefreiter Xaver Dollinger. He was born on the 20th of November 1924 in Otting, Bayern.
 
Xaver Dollinger started his active military career in January 1942 with the 5. Kompanie of the 6. Schiffsstammabteilung, part of  the 2. Admiral der Nordsee, based in Steenwijk (Holland)
 
He was trained with the K98.
 
He was trained with the 5. Kompanie of the 6. Schiffsstammabteilung from 11.1.1942 till 12.5.1942
After this his further career remains unknown until he appears on the crew list of the U-470 and was KIA.
 
The U-740 was sunk on the 8th of June 1944 in the English Channel west of Brest by depth charges from a British Liberator aircraft (224 Sqn RAF/G).
